Homebrew. But my homebrew is rather detailed. I've done 5 campaigns in it so far, and only one of the current players is familiar with it. So, before we even think about characters I need to get them a bit familiar with it. I like characters that have complete histories and players that actually know something about the world. On top of that once characters are made I compile a few pages of individual information that each character knows. The info is different for each PC depending on race, history, etc. Then I want to run a solo game with each player to bring them to the starting point where they all meet.
