I was born with red-hair, which has darkened to reddish/blondish/mousey-brown. I still am cursed though with a red-head's complexion - pale and freckled.

BTW: Walking up to me at a Con and saying 'You've got freckles. Aren't you cute.' is not a good pickup line.
