OK, question: read the next bit and then tell me what the blue weapons could be?
The Blue Blades
About six months ago, as payment for a "job", a small group from the lowercity were given a set of blades. The blades were Bluesteel rapiers and a large dagger. Unfortunately the blades were stripped from their basket and Guards. Spending most of the payment of next job, the group let a weaponsmith add new baskets and guards. Now the group is known as "the Blue Blades".
The set of blades includes six rapiers and a large dagger. The new guards and baskets are not of the same quality as the blades and they obviously are not part of the original weapons. Luckily only two of the rapiers are not of the best quality and so only they are balanced and finished as "normal" rapiers. The other four do have the balance and sturdiness of mastercrafted weapons. The large dagger is balanced as a mastercrafted weapon. But the crossbar on this blade has been replaced several times since the blue blades have these weapons.
Dirxon Wapser uses the dagger and one of the lesser rapiers. The other lesser blade is used by Spiro. The better blades are divided among the rest of the gang.
As there is only one "secondary" weapon, it seems the set is incomplete. There should be at least five more bluesteel daggers out in the world. Also the baskets and guards should be around. The bluesteel lemmets do look special, so the rest of the weapons might be of high quality as well.

Some type of planar metal perhaps. Maybe ore mined from the Quasi or Para-Elemental planes, like Lightning, Radiance... Or something found from places like Acheron.
I used these a lot when I ran Planescape, but not now in Scarred Lands. We had planar metals (and occasionally wood) from different Outer Planes that all had base effects. Much like Baatorian Green Steel, but for different planes.
