lunch break (coffee, chocolate and sigarets the lunch of champions)

How is everyone?

M: hows the jobhunt?
Ek: 20!!!!
Ratty: did you have fun on your trip though?
Otu: Couthard did fly !!
Tallok: Its language, languages are not suppose to make sense :D

Yuck coffee, yuck smoking, Mmmmmm chocolate. Got on the scales this morning and had lost a kilo for some reason ... so lots more chocolate clearly needs to be consumed!

Job hunt ... trying to make decisions about whether I want to stay in the UK or go back to Oz. All so tricky. Once I've decided that can actually start seriously looking for a job in the relevant country.

Hello Hivers!

newbie emergent here on his last day of work. Time to clean out the desk and ease on down the road.

Have fun on your last day at work? Is their cake/muffins/alcohol/some form of celebration/mourning?

Doubtful. I'm just the graduate assistant. Even though I have been here for over two years, I'll be lucky to get a "good luck" as I walk out the door.

No, I am not bitter. :D

Slow monday so far. Thats good. I'm supposed to be in a meeting, but nobody else showed up. I don't know if thats a good sign or a bad sign.

Bitter? why be bitter? Look at all that time you now have free to work for Beau at Atlas Comics. :D All those back issues to sort...

And boy, am I excited about that one. Still, there are some interesting finds amongst those back issues. Complete Grant Morrison JLA run? Check.

Why am I hungry already? I ate breakfast.

Morrison's run on JLA is definitely worth reading. I've got all the tradepapers of that.

As for breakfast, you could always run and get some McD's. Or one of Burger Kings greasey crossantwiches or what ever they call those awful things they serve this time of day.

Ahhh it’s that type of company is it? Oh well, buy yourself some chocolate cake on the way home to celebrate/mourn. For future reference chocolate whether in its pure form or in the equally delightful forms of chocolate cake/chocolate ice-cream/chocolate cookies is generally my preferred method of solving most of life’s problems. Of course this does have repercussions: my flatmate came home one day to find me having consumed about a litre of expensive chocolate ice-cream and immediately concluded that I’d split up with Atticus. She tip-toed around me for days before asking me. :D

Well, it's not really a company, it's part of the University. Everyone I really liked here has left already; I just stayed on because the pay is really good for a half time position. I am not really that upset about leaving; I have something else lined up for the fall already and I plan to get a lot of dissertation work done. Money for the next two months, however, will be a little tight.

I may take your advice, Morbidity. I've got some chocolate chip cookies in my lunch. Mmmm. . . Chips Ahoy.
