Hmmm...

That is a nice mental image... a golem made of arcane scrolls.

That would be TERRIFYING if done right.

i think this is the third toime i have thrown out a concept and oyu have mentioned "stealing" it.

i should just send oyu an email full of goofy ideas i have spawned and would be highly flattered to be able to see in print. :D

I have to remember that one!

(just like I have to remember to turn off my .sig in hive threads)

he was a big believer (as am i) in the talent/skill theory of artists.

talent being innate, like eye color, you got it or oya don't.

skill being a developed attribute, somehting you can build on.

they interact, and you cannot beat talent that has skill built on it. he continually told me that i was the most untalented highly skilled hick he had ever seen. he also said "you are gonna make somebody a good wife someday" and "you better be glad oyu can make pots, if you were a painter i would have to kill myself"

he was irrascible and constantly drunk, he was talented and skilled nobodies business and had no career because of his habits.

i loved him then and i love him today :D

Chekhov is a surprisingly funny guy. I did the Cherry Orchard at drama school and got to play the old butler, had enormous fun. I was on stage for about 20 mins with no lines, so I just acted away quietly in the background, doing complicated stuff and no small amount of scene stealing :)

Plus I got to be old and cranky, which was fun.

Um, if Skade is still around, I'd like to pm him this, but I can't...

Your sig is too big, buddy! It goes off the side of the page and I have to scroll left and right to read your messages!

Plus, it really ought to be a link......

Hmm, I'll repost this in meta so you can see it.

i am including my sig so i can get advice, how is it i do the text to make "as the two sisters watched" the link wihout the computergobbly below?

thanks

On the 6th page of Hivemind, Morrus gave to me...

THOUSAND!

POSTS!

Four calling birds, three French hens, two turtle doves...

And a Hivemind in Pkitty's head...:D

See you later everyone!
