Well, my aforementioned monk is an evil shadowdancer-wannabe marauder (now level 13 
). Very disciplined and with strong principles, though.
Our entire group was kinda LE; the other two characters were an abishai (who died in the astral deva fight) and a NE-tending-toward-LE blackguard.
The forces of light trembled in our wake, and entire cities (well, over-glorified towns, admittedly) that resisted were razed to the ground (well, okay - that was more part of our back-story than actual gaming sessions).
In the end, we slaughtered a huge force of paladins (level 6-8 for the rank-and-file, level 10-12 for the leaders, I think) in a nasty guerilla operation over several days before we confronted their astral deva leader, defeated him, and took the holy artifact they were transporting.
I guess that's probably not too helpful to you, though.
