actually, i am in cotton country, if you have never seen cotton being harvested you should, it is amazing.

in the old days bales were amrked with paint sticks, so that buyers could tell where they came from. nowadays the bales are so big only 1 fits on an 18wheeler and the young kids "tag" them with graffiti, a very odd juxtaposition beteween urban influence and rural agriculture, odd to go down the road and see some farmers kid doodling on the side of a cotton bale with a spray paint can
