MIri's spell descends upon the wagon. You can just about see the figure beneath stop moving, and two of the kobolds capering around the wagon also slump to the floor. The remaining three kobolds turn round in surprise, and one of them points at Miri with a yelp.
Suddenly, they charge haphazardly at her, shrieking and howling, with daggers drawn. The first two attacks are swiftly batted aside by her staff but the third kobold finds an opening and managed to drive it's blade into her leg.
[Miri takes 5 damage]

Meanwhile, in the market stalls, the two cultists have drawn their weapons and engaged with Erevan, Orcassm and Paine. The dwarf barks out short, brief commands in an unfamiliar language, and it's clear the drakes have been trained for combat.
Erevan's defensive stance frustrates the drake in front of him, and he easily dodges the beast's clumsy attacks. The dwarf similarly fails to find an opening with his battleaxe and grunts in frustration as his strike sails past Erevan's side.
The other cultist tries to draw an attack out of Orcassm with a feint, and as he does so the drake darts in to strike at the dwarf, but he sees the attack coming from the corner of his eye and drops briefly to one knee, the drake's fanged jaws passing over his head.
[Orcassm - I may have missed it, but I don't think I've got your character sheet? Can you please post it in the OOC thread

Ulfgar checks out the ruined building, and sees no immediate danger. Very little furniture and contents remain, but the remaining structure seems reasonaby sound and you can see no obvious places that foes may hide. You quickly usher the frightened townsfolk into the building, to keep them safe for the moment.
Rolen, the Elven cleric, seems particularly interested in one of the upper floors.
"What... is that... draconic?" he says quietly, mostly to himself. Following his gaze you see some crude graffiti daubed on a wall. Rolen begins to climb the precarious and charred remnants of the stairs, trying to get a closer look.
With the people safe, you turn your attention to the marketplace.
[OOC: Rolen was a former PC that I'm going to write out of the story, so please don't feel obliged to keep an eye on him!]
