I'm reading it as a paladinish version of true strike.

Ha ha! Here is where it gets even better; the caster does not have to be a Paladin. It is the 5th level glory domain spell...

I guess I don't know why that got even better...

It makes more sense as the Paladin's version of true strike if only paladins can cast it....

I said paladin-ish. I would think the glory domain would also be paladinish.

I still don't really see the point you are trying to make?

Fighter : hey PALLY can you cast Holy sword on my sword?
PALLY : Sure dude I'll cast it on "YOUR" sword
Bard: I have a plan. Now that we're out of sight, I cast disguise self on you.
Fighter: Disguise self. The spell is named disguise SELF.
Bard: Right. So I just disguise yourself.

Disguise self: range = personal

Holy sword: range = touch

While I think a Paladin should be an Evil fighting machine ... I don't think he's supposed to make he's party into an Anti-evil juggernaught. I have to go with the ruling that a Paladin can cast it on a friend's sword, it only lasts for 1 round once it leaves the Paladin's hand. Otherwise, the paladin can cast holy sword (assuming enough 4th level spells) on the weapons of his entire party and take down Demons/Devils with CR far above the party level.

So that basically shows, IMHO, that disguiseSELF CANNOT be casted on another person b/c the range is YOU/PERSONAL

I'm still standing by my original thoughts!
