Holy Water Elemental

Can you summon a water elemental into a pool of holy water? How much damage would it do to demons/undead on a hit? On a grapple? On an engulfment? How much holy water would be needed for the various sizes of water elemental? Would summoning a water elemental into holy water "de-holify" the water, either after hitting undead a few times or temporarily while a water elemental or permanently?

I'd probably go with the de-holify option. Figure out how many doses of holy water were initially in the pool, then just say it uses up one dose per hit, doing regular holy water damage.

It's kind of expensive, at 25 gp per dose, but very creative! :)

Not sure how much Holy Water you'd need, but...

I think water wieghs 8 lbs per gallon (or maybe liter). Multiply that by the volume of a water elemental (I'd say a cylinder using the face distance for the diameter). Umm, if it wasn't so late, I'd try to do the calculations for how much Holy Water you'd need for various sized water elementals.

As for Damage done.... At the least make the Water Elemental's attacks Good-Aligned so they overcome a creature's DR if that DR is X/Good. I'd say all the Water Elemental's attacks gain the Holy Weapon Property (+2d6 damage to evil creatures).

I would rule that it would make the water unholy.

But your post reminds me a little about summoning elementals in ravenloft, wherein the elementals retain some of the evil of the land, so they turn to vile elementals. I guess, for clerics, it would be possible to summon "holy" elementals from the very substance of the heavenly realms, and thus they would retain both their good substance as well as their elemental nature as well.
