So we've seen the "which published setting do you prefer?" polls. Yeah yeah. Most of these settings range from neat to fantastic, but they're all still someone else's idea. So without further adieu, sung to the tune of the recent Budweiser radio commercials, I give you this offering:

Here's to you, Mr. I-Make-My-Own-Campaign-Setting Man.

Mr. I-Make-My-Own-Campaign-Setting Man!

Your independant spirit and can-do attitude serves you well as you plunder moon elves from Forgotten Realms and ritual magic from Scarred Lands to plop into your personal world, synergy be damned.

To hell with syner-GEE!

You are in control, micromanaging every detail of your campaign, making sure the dwarves all have gray hair and the halfings are all tallfellows, because that's the way it is in YOUR world.

It's MYYYY world, man!

And when players whine because you don't have psionics, you can just look them in the eye and say "This isn't Greyhawk, buddy." We don't do it that way around here. Because in the end, you're calling the shots, and anyone who wants to play their half-drow psychic warrior Drizzt-clone can take a hike. This is YOUR house.

Mr. I-Make-My-Own-Campaign-Setting Man!

Awww, yeah! You go, uh, guy!

My addition:

Who cares what that Ed Greenwood guy thinks, anyway? Not YOU! Your smarmy comments and obvious disdain for published settings shows all those FRCS losers that you're your own man.... and they can go to Sh'yinrazz if they disagree!

That's like Hell in my homebrew, maa-aan!
