Hello, thanks for checking out my race of book people, the tomebloods! I'd love to hear any feedback you have to offer. I made this race just for fun but I'm getting more and more into them as I keep working on them.

I don't know that their default form should be humans. Particularly since they seem fundamentally demonic-like entities (or is it some other outsider, I can't really tell), albeit typically non-malevolent ones. I think you could come up with something more creative than that.

I would avoid giving any race 2 bonus skills. For the mystery style, I can see justification for deception (after all, mystery novels do try to mislead readers) so probably drop the Stealth proficiency. Try to come up with something other than a skill bonus that could be involved with either creating or solving mysteries.
