Homebrews - Who's starting over?

A brand new homebrew here when 4E arrives :)
I was already putting up notes for setting inspired on the Iron Heroes "swordlands" idea, but since it seems it has a new name, Points of Light, I'll be putting up a setting that follows that premise.

Who plans starting over though? How much (partially like me or with everything all new)? Who plans on converting? Who's undecided?

I don't think the ruleset is the most important thing in the game, so even if 4e is better, we will certainly complete our current campaigns in 3.0, without any conversion issues. We will start playing 4e only with a clean-fresh new campaign from level 1st.

As for settings, I usually run games in a setting that's a mix and mash of various ideas from different published settings, just because I find them cool, and this vanilla setting typically grows by playing new adventures, rather than because my own planning. I suspect it will be quite similar in 4e, therefore I will probably start with the new PHB races/classes and the MM monsters to define the new vanilla setting.
 

My homebrew (designed for 2nd edition) could probably convert fairly easily, but I'm not even using it for 3.5 these days - we're doing War of the Burning Sky in what in theory is Eberron, and the plan is to move onto Pathfinder (using Paizo's world) after that.

Strangely, the advent of 4th edition has made me want to do a new 3.5 homebrew, now that I know WotC aren't going to be producing any more crunch for me to consider. I've been looking over my ton of 3.5 stuff and picking the bits I enjoy.

The result is pretty weird - classes allowed are warblades, specialist wizards, scouts, psychic warriors, warmages and favoured souls (with paladin, ranger and bard available as prestige classes).

I'm not sure whether I'll ever pick up 4th edition, but if I do (or even if I get to reading the SRD) I'll probably both convert my homebrew and design a new setting for it.

Like most of the people here, I like designing worlds :)
 

My current campaign will likely wrap next summer/early fall anyway, so we're going to make a clean break of things and start fresh IF we go the 4th Edition route. Right now, our group is split pretty evenly as to going totally C&C or wanting to go 4th Edition. I like some of the info that has come out about 4E and am taking a 'wait-and-see' approach to the whole thing.
 

I'm not starting over. This campaign has been running since 1E. I'll just translate the characters to the closest approximation, delete the stuff I don't like, and keep going.

3E actually did things that my house rules were already doing, so that made changing to 3E a no-brainer for me. If 4E equally anticipates changes that I like to see, I'll change, and my campaign world will not. Otherwise I'll find a game system that works with my campaign world - or stay with 3E.
 

Since Im moving soon and I have to leave my group Im going to make a homebrew Ive been thinking of a for a few years. Im going to stick with 3.5 and if I publish it, it's not going to have any system, and be a fluff book.
