Hong-Kong action roleplaying?

Hello? Anyone out there? This is like the most used forum and I have'nt gotten a *single* reply in 17 whole minutes! Sheesh!

i.e., *bump*

I lean toward Feng Shui almost in spite of itself.

Mechanically, the game is a disaster, virtually nothing is balanced against anything else.

That said it plays fast and furious, it has a very (IMO) intriguing setting, and was the first game I'm aware of that had a mechanic on place that would reward you for acting cool, pretty much crucial to a Hong Kong action movie game.

So yeah, Feng Shui.

Chris Pramas's Dragonfist was based (loosely enough, but officially) on AD&D2. He also worked on HKAT II.

to Plain Sailing - That was Feng Shui? Extremely kool! That's actually what inspired me in the first place. I made a DnD feat just to simulate the janitor and his mop:

Improvised Weapons (general)
You can hit people with stuff.
Prerequisites: Str 13+, BAB 3+
Benefit: You deal 1d6 normal damage (crit 20/x2) with anything. Most stuff can be thrown (range increment 10'). You are considered proficent, whatever the item may be.
Alternatively, you may choose 1 specific item (such as a mop ;) ) to deal 1d8 damage with, and deal d4 with everything else.
Normal: You are considered nonproficient with junk lying around, and it deals subdual damage.

Feng Shui has an amazingly smooth and fun rules engine. It also has a cool time-spanning setting (that is, if you like shaolin monks chasing eunuch sorcerers and hopping vampires in modern Hong Kong =). You should consider giving it a go.

I also really liked Dragonfist. It's pre-d20, but there are several ideas you may consider plugging into any high-octane d20 game.
