And thanks for your review on RPGNow.com - it is always appreciative when customers take time and tell us we're doing (or not doing) a good job.

As for the mechanics - I will have to boil it down to playtesting. We had somewhat similiar rules in place using the Insanity rules from Unearthed Arcana and Cthulhu as a backbone, but it didn't run as smooth as the system we finally chose. It was a natural for the d20 System. Plus, it could be used for the ever-popular True 20 system developed by Green Ronin as some of the mechanics are already familiar with those that use that system.
