Horror schtick? (spoilers?)

I'm not a big fan of horror movies, so I'm not up on the gist of several of the longer series.

I've seen one or two of the Friday the 13th movies, so I know the whole schtick is "teens have sex in woods, get killed." I've seen one or two Nightmare movies, so I know it's "teens go to sleep, get killed in their dreams."

AMC was running some of the Halloween movies, and I was wondering what's the story behind Michael Myers. Supernatural? Psycho human? What's the story?

Also, saw the commercials for Jeepers Creepers 2, and was wondering what's going on there.

If other people have questions about horror flicks, feel free to post 'em in this thread. :)

Oh, I think you summed up Michael Myers just rights: supernatural psycho human. Yes, he's "just" a psycho human. But he is also described as pure evil--and I think they (screenwriters, director, character who uttered the line) mean that in a literal sense. Michael is not just a psycho human anymore--he is now (and perhaps always was) the essence of evil. Stalking Haddonfield, IL in a William Shatner mask.

There was a "Backstory" on AMC a few months ago covering the Halloween movies. I hadn't heard that it was a Captain Kirk mask they used--that really cracked me up.

Halloween is also (at least the first one), a "kids have sex; get killed" movie. The only teen who survives is Laurie the virgin.

You mean wearing a mask of Shatner isn't evil enough?!?! :)
Knowing that bit of trivia makes Michael Myers alternately funny (I almost start laughing) and scarier (it's just creepy, but Shatner looks sort of creepy--like a ventriloquist's dummy in some of his works, like the"Twilight Zone" episode he did on the airplane).
