[Hosted] Far too long in the making: new GAMMA WORLD gallery!!!!!

Klaus

First Post
Hi, Kids and Kidettes!

I'm back with great news! I contributed some artwork for Sword & Sorcery's upcoming Gamma World: Mutants & Machines. The book should be out by the second half of November, but you can see some samples in my jazzy, brand new fully-digitally-painted Gamma World gallery! Since there's a lot of images, the updates will be somewhat weekly, so get ready for some post-apocalyptic critters, robots and fish!

It's all here ! So go check it out and then come back and let me know what you think!

Game On!

Hey Klaus. I'm an old school Gamma World'er and very particular about my GW. (just look at my posts in the GW thread :D ). But, I wanted to tell you how great your art is! I can't wait to see more!! Bruce and the gang certainly choose the right one for the job!

Darned good as usual, Claudio. I still, however, prefer te warmth of your hand-drawn style to the "coldness" of the computer renderings, but the work is still quite good.

Kudoes!

Heh - I wrote all three of those monsters for Mutants & Machines... I remember enthusiastically frothing to Bruce about the art.

That's awfully nice to hear, Mytholder! The AI Fragment was the last one I did, with the obvious nod to Rodin's Thinker. Did you write any of the other creatures I illustrated?

Henry -> Now that I have more illustrations under my belt, I am now getting the feel of the hand drawn more clearly on the digital painting also. But I am not letting go of my other style. If anything, I think it's getting better because of the digital training. Wait for Fiery Dragon's upcoming releases. :)

Gallo22 -> Although I nevr played GW, I remember it from old TSR catalogs (GW was reeeally hard to get down here). When I got lined up to do the Menarl (upcoming!), a monster that graced the old covers of GW, I knew it would be cool!

Well, I think you're really getting the feel of GW with how those turned out!! Thanks for the inspiration!

I think those are some great pieces of art. I love the way they look different from typical "real" animals, yet don't go into the campy realm. They do a good job of evoking a ominous feel, without looking like a "strange for the sake of being strange" look.

Excellent work.
