Hotel Full of Con Artists

For some reason, when I read the title my head went to the idea of a convention at a hotel, and the artists at it.

There’s no reason con artists can’t have a con…with artists.

It might be useful to note that there's a difference between just cheating someone out of money (like a maid planting fake damage, and charging the customer) and full on confidence game work (in which the confidence of the mark must be gained to get them to willfully commit to an action that will cost them money - "con artist" is reference to this earning of confidence).
