Hotel Room Question (Gen Con related)

We're all ready to go to Gen Con, but suddenly our number keeps growing and growing. We started with three commits...now we have six definites and one "most likely." That leaves us with a small problem...the hotel room we booked has a max occupancy of four. I don't forsee problem sneaking the extra people in, but I'm wondering what will happen if we get caught.

We really can't afford a second hotel room. Do any of you know what will happen if a hotel suspects (or discovers) that we've crammed seven people in one room?

Drew,

I've never heard of anyone getting caught with too many people in a hotel room. As long as your are reasonably about it (ie, don't start building bunk beds or installing hammocks) you shouldn't have a problem. With GenCon in full swing, the hotel staff will have far better things to deal with than counting heads.

Chances are that if it does come up, they'll just charge you extra. If you're really worried about, call the hotel and ask. You can always give them a fake name or just ask about general hotel policy if you're worried about getting hassled about it.
