Hotmail problems...help please!

This morning I went to check my email as usual and everything was fine. Now I have just tried to log in to my email and it doesn't work. I am using the same password as this morning, I haven't changed it and when I press the sign in button, it brings me back to the www.hotmail.com site with the email of the previous person that checked it on this computer in the email box.

When I try to log into MSN Messenger, it tells me that the email doesn't exist or the password is wrong. I tried to create a new account with the same email, but it told me that it already exists. My MSN Messenger is using the auto-log on, and has been for months.

When I tried to use the "Forgot your password?" link, I get a message saying that this is temporarily not working. I have tried to log in using other people's emails on this computer and it works. I don't know what is going on.

Has this happened to anyone else before? Did you fix it? Does anybody know what could be wrong?

1) Wait a couple of days to see if it will fix the problem.

2) Get yourself a new e-mail adress. Even AOLs mailservers are more stable than hotmails.

Ok ... I encountered a problem like this several months ago.

My problem occured when I blocked cookies from hotmail's web site. This blocked me from signing in and I kept going back to the "Please re-enter your password" page. I tried resetting my security levels ... no dice. I deleted my cookies ... no dice. Finally I called up Tools-Internet Options-Content-Enable-Approved Sites ... there I removed the information regarding hotmail. The next time I went everything was good.

I've been having a similar problem.. I get the "Password is wrong or sign-in name doesn't exist" message when I try to log in from messenger, but logging in at hotmail.com goes fine (not that I actually use it for email...). Everything works fine but this, I can still log into messenger from other locations, and it just (near as I can tell) spontaneously quit working a few days ago. Any ideas?
