D&D General Hours actually playing RPGs, D&D?

I checked, and I've played ~33 sessions of D&D in 2025 so far. Since my games usually run around 4 hours, I'm easily in the 60+ hours camp...

There are very few years I could actually answer that. Sadly, this is one of them: 0.

Easily 60+. I run one D&D game on alternate Sundays for 4-5 hours, and a second campaign every Tuesday night for 4 hours.

Assuming Beyond the Wall counts as D&D, because of its "B/X-ish" rules, that's 9 sessions of roughly 2-3 hours so far this year. So probably 20-25 hours in total.

A weekly, 3 hour session 5E 2024 game easily takes me over 60, even though we miss an occasional session here and there. I've also played some OSE online and in person on top of that, and a bit of Shadowdark and The Nightmares Underneath.

About 20 sessions of my Monday game (2 hrs each), 8 sessions of my weekend game (4 hrs each), and about 15 sessions of my Friday game (3 hrs) would put me decently over 100.

Per Year? Even running Daggerheart and a few other things I'm still way over 60 on D&D.

I figure I’ve played approximately 98 hours of D&D so far this calendar year.

• 30 hours of my remote game, Revenants of Saltmarsh (10 sessions)
• 35 hours of my in-person game, Primordial Evil (11 sessions)
• 33 hours as a player in a game played via OBR/Discord, Wildemount Edges (11 sessions)

In the past (as when I was running my “Out of the Frying Pan” 3e game) we easily played around 125 hours a year on one campaign alone.

Besides the numbers being off, why is the poll public? Also, it really should say annually or yearly (or a year) in the question.
