I have the Pirates of Dark Water game!
Many of you may be surprised but the WAS a Pirates of Dark Water Game (sort of), it was published in 1994 by Mindgames. It was SUPPOSED to be a setting adaptable to any Fantasy RPG, but in fact it was a thinly (and I mean THINLY) veiled AD&D supplement. It even had monsters printed in the old Monster Compendium loose 3 hole-punched pages so you could place them in a binder.
I still have the book, but have not looked at it for a LONG time. I love the setting and saw most of the episodes. I even taped a marathon the Cartoon Network ran YEARS ago. As far as I can remember I was unimpressed by the adaptation the game presented, and the information presented seemed only to rehash what was presented in the show.
I would love a well done Pirates of Dark Water D20 book, as well as He-Man, Thundercats, and last but not least Silver Hawks, done with D20 Modern! With all the 80s nostalgia craze in comics and cartoons the time would be right for games on this shows.
We can always hope…
