How about a site for homebrews?

ColonelHardisson

What? Me Worry?
I really enjoy scoping out all the critters posted in Homebrews, but the problem is that these posts get pushed down and out of sight, leaving some homebrew monsters lost and forgotten in the depths of cyberspace.

Scott, Erica, and Boz have the CC to immortalize their work, so we get to see and use their conversions and original monsters with little difficulty. I was wondering if anyone out there had thought of creating a site where people could contribute their Homebrews and give them a permanent (as permanent as you get on the web) home? Sorta like this HackMaster site:

Just a thought.

that would be really nice, especially if (broken record) we can get access to the old message boards, to siphon off all the thingies from there. :)

Well I have all of my stuff on disc (including the Azure Dragon :D) so getting mine won't really be a problem.

Hey...we'd be happy to host them at Fantaseum. Problem is is that no one sends us anything anymore. I get a few files here and there but nothing significant.

Click on the www link in my sig and let me know. I post the files as they come in.

In a way, there IS a homebrew page.

If you join the Yahoo group for the CC, you can upload any files you want! :)

Yahoo ain't worth diddley for anything but e-mail addy's and news.

Well I never.... look what I just did!

Yes, I made a homebrew web-site!

Anyone can submit homebrew monsters to the site, and comments on improvements will be appreciated.

Lots of things need improving such as a) testing in netscape, b) sorting, c) searching, d) proper OGL license e) perhaps different fields, f) new site design?

If anyone has any comments on any of these (or maybe you want to donate a site design?) that will be appreciated.

Well, the color scheme could be better, and It should be on a dedicated site (no other stuff) but it's a start :D

a, works in netscape 4.7 so it should work in newer versions as well.

b, Nothing to sort yet, only one creature on the page...

c, Sorry...

d, can't help there either...

e, elaborate. What different fields, perhaps a page for each creature type, and one for templates?

f, defenitly, needs a better color scheme, I personally have always been partial towards green... But the color is up to you, it's your page after all. :D

Hey, I like the way it looks! I'm very glad someone got the gumption to actually do this! I'll tryt o contribute some critters; it may take a little while, but I'll do it fairly soon.
