How Are your Books Holding Up?

I got my set of 3 core books from Amazon the day the game was released. All 3 books had broken glue on the binding within 1 week.

I called WotC (hoping to help them out with some quality control) and was told, as mentioned above, that I had to send in the three books (on my own dime) and wait for some replacements. F that.

I returned the three to Amazon and got a new set. The PHB and DMG are just fine but the MM slightly broke its binding again (the minotaur and friends section is sticking out farther than the rest of the lot) within a week.

I was too hoarked off to send it back a second time so I have learned to deal with it as its not bad enough for pages to fall out like my original 3 did.

Haven't had any issues with my AV and heres hoping the two books I get for christmas hold up as well.

At the beginning, my 3 were somewhat wavy, but after they sat on a shelf waiting for my group to finish our last 3.5 campaign, they seem to have settled to normal.

No change since I bought them. At the time, each of the books I picked up had a hard crease or two in each of the books. That's because I went through ALL the books on display, pulled out the ones with creases/minor internal page damage, and bought those for myself.

I figured that it would bother me much less than other customers, since if I liked the game I would be ding-ing up the books anyway.

I scored a used PHB last week, and if my gaming group starts up again, I'm going to pull out the pages and put it in a binder so that I can add stuff from splats I want to use.

Mine are in great condition.

Full disclosure: I use the DDI for all my adventure prep work, and almost never have to use them durring the game...

So far my gift set has held up well and I never had any smudging problems.

Adventurers Vault also is holding up well.

Overall no complaints.
