It's pretty easy when you figure that a lot of places are named for geographic features, mundane stuff or people's names.
From my own Homebrew:
Republic of Freetown. Started by a bunch of Adventurers. Freetown, Rivermarch (a military and lumber town down river, pushing into new territory), Gilda's Shrine (sprang up around a Hospital started by a cleric named Gilda, a member of the Shrine sect) and Dexter. Now adding Wheeler (named after the first settlers) and Stone Point (a stony point in a river bend that provided a defensible position in hostile territory).
Rivers: The Treva (tree-vah) and it's tributaries, the Trevast (treh-vast) and the Vasta. Sandoval, Fork, Beangrove, Canyon, Bordermark (a border, duh).
The Elorhim 'City of Gyre' is known by the Humans as Gyretown. Nearby are Dylan's Vale, Borgan's Farm (both named for prominent early settlers) and Ore (a mining town).
In the Duchy of Gotham, you'll find Cherry Falls, Stonebridge and Silver City (a drab silver mining and chemical processing town).
The former slave village of Aurik became the City of Arundel, capital of the Duchy of the same name. The town of Kinet guards the frontier.
They don't have to be complex, unusual or polysyllabic, folks. Keep it Simple. Don't be afraid to steal. Tolkein was no genius for names, he just knew how to borrow properly. Gondor is a place in Ethiopia.
