How Close is D&D Encounters to you?

Less than 11 blocks from my home is my FLGS. We run two tables on Wednesday, with a possible 3rd one being opened up since more people have been joining.

I don't actually know; the nearest place would be about a half-hour away (23.2 miles, per Google). But I don't know if they're running Encounters; I'll have to ask next time I'm there.

If your FLGS doesn't have the program... help the store out and ask if you cna organize it yourself!

That's what I did, and we have a pretty good turn out.... and a great monthly meetup to boot!

Oh, and the store is about 10 mins from my house.

I have no idea if there is even a single location in Germany participating in 'D&D Encounters'. Considering the current state of affairs (i.e. no German publisher), I somehow doubt it.

The closest FLGS I know that actually sells D&D 4e _and_ would have sufficient space to host the event is about a one hour drive away.

On the event/store locator map on the WotC web site, there are twelve stores in Germany running D&D Encounters.

As for me, on the same map my nearest would be in Daventry, and they start an hour before I finish work that evening - my one late evening is Wednesday - so it's not likely I can attend very often.

Interesting. What did you do to get them to show up? When I try it (using this link), it doesn't show anything when I enter 'Germany' and select D&D :(
Yup that link does not work however if you start from here it does:)
And since they appear to be using the same search page I don't know why but it is more of the wierdness that the WoTC site.

The closest to me is about a 50-60 minute drive away.

The distances listed on my results seem to be straight line "as the crow flies" distances, rather than driving distances. Might not be a big difference for those in urban areas, but in rural areas where, "Ain't no roads go there," the mileage listed is less useful.
