how close to the rules do you play? poll #1(wealth by lvl)

I really don't follow them much at all. I certainly don't consult them to make sure the PCs have enough toys. And for a new character it depends upon their station and background. I mean a knight is going to have better stuff than a sell-sword. The wealth by level table is a useful tool for new DMs. I don't see any reason for an experienced DM to pay attention to it at all.

Ditto to what maddman75 said. I don't follow the wealth tables at all.

I loosely adhere to them, but I am more likely to follow my own thumbrules about what is appropriate at a given level that tabulate everything that comes into the game. I just have more important things to do.

Other - the PCs get what they find, I don't control their wealth-by-level. I do start them out poor, though.
