How do I give the Gift of Game?

Thanks guys.

Ideally I was hoping there was just a place I could donate the PF Beginner's Box, knowing that it would get used. But I'll check into these places, even if I might have to roll up my sleeves and get in there myself.

Providing games is good - but kids often aren't used to collaborative or shared gaming; are all too used to fixed narrative formats and pixel-bitching solutions; and have little idea of how to build play through layers of exploration, discovery and open-ended challenges.

Your potential role as a mentor (legal checks in place) is, therefore, a great deal more likely to create new players who stick than handing over a 'device' which still needs to be 'armed' and 'detonated' to have an impact.

Go buy a bunch of Pathfinder Beginner Boxes and give them out to kids at a local youth center.

Go buy a bunch of Pathfinder Beginner Boxes and donate them to the annual toy drive.

Go buy a bunch of Pathfinder Beginner Boxes, hold a CCG tournament (like Yu-gi-oh) and give them out as top prizes to the kids who place 1st through 10th place or something like that.

Go buy a bunch of Pathfinder Beginner Boxes, hold a community event at the local library where parents bring their kids and run short games (2 hours). Get a few friends who can help you to be GMs. Have them buy Pathfinder Beginner Boxes too. After the game is done, give the games to the kids who played the best as prizes or offer to sell the unopened games for $5 - $10 to parents.
