D&D (2024) How do we feel about the new spells

I think star Druid should have got an added spell list, specifically storm of radiance. Honestly just wished they just added that to the list it just makes sense. Star Druid is already pretty strong but we have moon Druid which is still op so idk I think it would be fair

Hyped for sorcerous burst gameplay

Will create a draconic or wm sorcerer when I get the books (waiting for them)

Draconic Sorcerer is really good at all levels for most part.
WM very good espicially later. Might be best one higher level.

My (limited) XP so far:

I played a heavily armoured DS Sorc in a one-shot. Running around with the new spirit guardians felt pretty ridiculous, even with just my "regular move" causing damage and then doing "hold action->move" to cause more damage next turn. Any movement shenanigans other PCs could bring would just compound it. I mean...it was fun in a one-shot, but I could see it getting old for players pretty quickly, and annoying for a DM. From the DM side I'd be inclined to limit damage to once per round (as previously suggested up-thread), but haven't DMed '24 yet, so TBD.

Any time the new true strike has been available, players have snapped it up. A single cantrip "slot" that gives scaling ranged and/or melee attack option using your spellcasting modifier for hit and damage? Pretty good option for a lot of classes.
