How do you haul your stuff?

A Samsonite laptop bag fits my Powerbook, 4-5 HC books (3 Core + FRCS + misc.), my screens, a notebook, markers and pencils plus tons of dice (many for counters).

I then load my CD's (not really needed), computer speakers (Powerbook has crummy speakers), homebrew campaign setting 3-ring binder, inititive corkboard, battlemat, extension cord plus any other books (usually softcover splatbooks) into a green, plastic milk crate. I grab a large friend to haul the crate and I'm all set. :D

Inexpensive black (leather? Probably just vinal considering I only payed about 30 bucks for it) briefcase, normaly. Lets me fit the three core, one more hardcover, and a handfull of paperback, as well as folders for maps, notes, char sheets, etc.

On the rare occasions I have more to carry, there are four internal snaps you can pop open to expand it enough to fit another two hardcovers in there... and If I have more still, I just carry 'em in my other arm.

Much better than a backpack IMHO... doesn't age the books at all... it's a perfect fit for harcovers, so they aren't bouncing all around.

Bah! A TRUE Gamer purchases his gaming equipment carrier at his local Kenworth or Peterbilt dealership.

And that's just to haul his DICE!!!

Lightweights.

When I DM away from home I carry it all in a big sports bag, mainly to be able to keep all my mini boxes reasonably level.

The bottoms of my mini cases are lined with magnetic sheets, and the minis are based on either 1'' washers or plasticard covered with steel sheeting.

For years and years I hauled all this crap with me when I gamed away from my home and then I realsied just about eveywhere I gamed as much stuff as I did. It was just stupid.

So now all I bring is my laptop and a 1" 3 ring binder with my current campaign notes or character. Maybe a case of minis, but that is it. I'm over schlepping my stuff all over the place for no reason.

I have a fairly big carry bag for the books, an arts and crafts bead holder for my dice (also has a section for some miniatures) and for most of my miniatures I use a Charon BattlePack :)

When I DM, I carry a large legal case, which is essentially an extra large, extra wide briefcase with a shoulder strap, about 16" x 10" x 10", and a large miniatures case. It's heavy, but then I have all the stuff I have to have.

Early 3e days: Commuted regularly to game. Had all needed stuff in backpack, plus brought laptop.

After the d20 bloat: Had 2 crates full of books that I even had a chance of using. Plus laptop. Insist on hosting.

After started to play at friends house again: Took note of what I rarely used or that all my players had, and trimmed it down to one crate plus laptop.

Moved game back to my house because hauling that crate around was STILL a problem.
