How Do You Transport Your Books?

I'm looking for a new solution to get all my books to the local game store with a minimum of fuss. Any suggestions? I have a rolling suitcase, but it isn't quite the right size. I was thinking of Sabol's Army Transport Division model, it looks like the dimensions would work, but I don't know if it's sturdy enough for books. They're alot heavier than foam trays, even when the trays are carrying metal.

So how do you do it?

I just have a bookbag with about 3-4 books that i know i need, along with dice, paper, etc.
I leave the rest of the books in the car (or at home if I won't need them at all).

I've been buying PDFs of most of the 4e books, which makes them ultratransportable (and searchable). I realise that that probably isn't quite the sort of suggestion you were looking for, but it does work a treat.

How many books do you need to bring? I only take what I know I'll need.

I have a good ergonomic rucksack.

Sabol's Army Transport cases are a bit uncomfortable to carry heavy things in, the strap isn't made for that, although the size is just right.

Every time I see one of these threads pop up from time to time, I always think "Good lord, how many books are you taking to your games?!" A suitcase?

Take less books. I take notes from the books I think I'll need so I don't have to carry all of them. In situations where I need lots of books for a game I have the game played where my books are. But I don't like to have to look things up in the middle of games so that is rarely needed.

This is always been my kind of hassle, but moreso with minis and miscellaneous stuff than just books. Anyways, I currently carry two backpacks, one for books and laptop and the other for minis, dice, and misc. For the books, I carry just the ones I need, make photocopies of pages that I'll use such as a psionic ability or spell so I won't have to carry the whole Spell Compendium or Expanded Psionics Handbook. I do the same for monsters, just photocopy the pages of the various monster manuals that I have so I only get the ones I want statted up.

That cuts down my book carrying needs. I'm a big believer of the PDF drive, but WotC PDFs were always too expensive to justify the cost, but picked up a lot of 3PP that I would use.

It's not me that uses most of the books, it's the players. My 4e dragonlance game has most of my D&D books, plus my DL books. It's the DL books that really take up space and I can never predict which ones (barring just a couple) people will ask for.
