How does poison actually hurt characters?

Aberrations are not default immune to poisons.

Yeah, I wanted to point to something that might be hard to poison but not unpoisonable.

Plus they tend to have low fort saves.

Do they? It's so hard to tell with their crazy powers, I just tend to burn it with fire and let them die like the horrible mutants they are.
