How fast does a Barbarian swim?

If a 3rd level human monk gets a +10 movement bonus does this translate to a swimming speed of:

-15 (base movement/2)
-20 (base movement+10/2)
-35? (base movement/2+10)

I think that it would be 20 (base movement+10/2). This is because a Human has no speed other than land speed. If a human had another speed such as swim I think the monk ability would increase that speed directly. The monk ability only modifies a character’s listed movement speeds and since swimming via the swim skill uses the characters land speed to determine the speed at which the character can swim, I would use the character's modified land speed to determine the speed at which he can swim.
