How long are your gaming sessions?

From 6 to 12 hours, with an average of 10 hours. Our record session time is 32 hours with couple of lunch breaks (I was damn tired after that, but we sure had fun).

When you have a group with children your options become more limited. We game on Sunday afternoons from 1-4, that gives up time to go over and still not disrupt the little ones schedules to much.

For the 3E game I DM: 6-10 hours. We burn a whole sunday once a month.

For the 1E game I play in 6-7 hours, twice a month when we can, sometime 6-8 weeks between games.

Currently, we game maybe once a month, for 4-5 hours. After I move to Kansas City with my old group in August, we're starting up three games (each of us running once a week, making that three games a week) with two sessions probably running four-six hours depending on traffic after work, and one most-of-the-day weekend session. We're pretty ridiculous about it -- it's the entire reason I convinced them to come to Kansas City, to game again if only for one final game this year. If you're going to go out, why not go out in style?

The -longest- session we've ever had was one I ran, that started at eleven a.m. and stopped at five a.m., and picked up four hours later after we slept. That was not one of our smartest moments.

This is Kid Soc.

Every Monday 7:00 pm 'til 10:00 or 10:30 pm (depending on combat, etc.).

In truth, most of us would prefer a weekly 12+ hour game, but we're all too busy. Especially those of us with kids.

Every Friday night we start at 7:00PM and game to midnight or so. Sometimes I call it a little earlier, sometimes we go to one. Just depends on what we're up to at the time.

So 5-6 hours is the average.

Usually we play on Saturday 6:00pm - 9:30(10)pm. We play longer if we get the chance. Half the players are still in high school, and thus have to get their sleep. Among the rest we have people who have finished college and have jobs, or have jobs and are in college and in a band. As a result we have a hard time getting together for any length of time.

Just so you know, we are unbelievably slow players and tend to get almost nothing done. It's not uncommon for a simple combat to take an hour or more. I think this is due to our younger players being inexperienced, and one of the older ones having so much trepidation about everything he does, that he takes forever to make any decisions.
It's frustrating.

Every other Saturday from about 5:30 p.m. to whenever. Usually about 12:00 a.m but we've gone later than that.

My DM stamina threshold is around 1 am.
