The last one I bought was Fizban's, and that was not at launch but one day on a whim because dragons. Radiant Citadel doesn't appeal to me given how underwhelmed I was by Candlekeep, and Spelljammer is probably not something I am going to run since I am worn out on 5E. There is a possibility that I will buy the DL book out of pure nostalgia, but I will try not to give in to the impulse.

nothing since fizbans as nothing has been a book I need, plus I am a player and not a dm so buying adventure books would be impolite.

I've realized I own more than I can ever play. The joy from collecting has also faded, and I'm tired of reading them and looking at the art. Largely, I put them on a shelf and forget about them. So yeah, it's time for me to take a break from buying until I get inspired by something very original.

I wish I could get in a game myself.

Have you tried online? In-person gaming has completely died in my area since COVID, and I expect it will take many years before it picks up again (if it does then). Some existing groups may have gotten back together, but no new groups are coming together. There is no organized play, no pick-up games at the local stores, no chatter in social media groups, etc.

my area has no in-person game it literally never had it is a glorified housing estate not a town, online I can never find one in my time zone on a day I can play the last one I could get in to had one nutter playing a Skaven and that is just asking for trouble even with my love of homebrew.
note I do not mean a rat man as that would be fine, mean an honest to buddha clan eshin Skaven with the voice and everything.

Don't give up. The beauty of online play is there are so many games to chose from. AL has online organized play. All of the VTTs have ways to get into games (mostly for free). There are regular cons with online components. Yes it's not lie sitting down with friends, its like sitting down with strangers Sometimes one of those strangers is a *&^ wad, sometimes they become a great friend. The beauty is that you never have to see the wads again and you didn't have to leave your house to find the new friends.
