How many 3.5E books do (did) you own?

What was the total number of 3.5E books you purchased?

I went nuts the first few years 3e and 3.5 came out- I probably have 500+ books and adventures for 3.x, and a complete run of Dungeon and Dragon over that time.

Of those books, I used maybe 30-40, but I don't feel I wasted my money. Books are good forever after all, and I still can mine them for ideas, even if I didn't use them during play. Right now, most of those books are boxed up in my basement.

That said, despite my investment in 3.x, I happily switched to 4e. I've pulled ideas and monsters out of 3.x books for my 4e games, so life is good as a gamer right now! :)

I forgot to mention more of White Wolf stuff, their Scarred Lands line, Arthaus' Ravenloft stuff done via WW, the World of Warcraft stuff done by Arthaus, etc... I wasn't even thinking about PDF's, like those done by ENWorld, Adament, and so many others. Plus I did subscribe to Dungeon magazine and bought about 18 issues of Dragon during the 3E era. I am still buying Paizo stuff.

Yeah, I really, really, really should stop buying RPG stuff. I won't be able to use all of this stuff if I were to live to 120 years of age. So I should stop. I really should. Yeah, I need to stop. Really. Yep. Definitely need to stop. Soon. Very soon.:heh:

I didn't count the 3E products I only bought as a pdf. If I did it would add another 35 (all of the DCC modules) putting me in the 51-100 range.

Prior to 4e? Not many. I owned Unearthed Arcana and some 3pp products (plus another dozen or so 3.0 books from WOTC (i.e, MM2, Fiend Folio, BOVD), Green Ronin, EN Publishing, Malhavoc, Mystic Eye Games, and The Le).

However, after seeing the 4e previews and 4e core books I have bought a lot more 3.x products- all third party, but there are a few WOTC books on the list to buy (Heroes of Horror, Stormwrack, Fiendish Codex I, Lords of Madness and Complete Mage) as well as some more 3pp once the school is back in session and I am back at work there.

I purchased way more 3.0 books than I did for 3.5. I have all of the "official" splatbooks like Sword and Fist and Defenders of the Faith, plus a good number of third-party ones like the Quintessentials and Slayer's Guides by Mongoose.

I have all of the Forgotten Realms books and the Oriental Adventures setting, and I even had some of my own material published for Nyambe: African Adventures by Atlas Games.

But when 3.5 was announced, I just picked up the three core rulebooks. (shrug) Not sure why.
