How many arrows?

Crossbow, Repeating: The repeating crossbow (whether heavy or light) holds 5 crossbow bolts. As long as it holds bolts, you can reload it by pulling the reloading lever (a free action). Loading a new case of 5 bolts is a full-round action that provokes attacks of opportunity.
You can fire a repeating crossbow with one hand or fire a repeating crossbow in each hand in the same manner as you would a normal crossbow of the same size. However, you must fire the weapon with two hands in order to use the reloading lever, and you must use two hands to load a new case of bolts.
Is there a one-handed reload Winchester version somewhere ;)?

Greater Manyshot is cool for rogues, since it can be used in the surprise rounds to deliver quite a barrage of sneak attacks, but other than that, I think Manyshot is only good in a very limited environment, where high maneuverability is of greatest importance. Usually full attack with Rapid Shot is simply the better choice.

Couple of points
1) Im pretty sure precision based damage only applies to the first arrow with many shot.
2) Manyshot can be done as a readied action, full attack cannot
3) Manyshot can be used in the suprize round, full attack cannot.

Infact, Manyshot in effect allows you to take a full attack at times when normally you could only take a single attack. The drawback is that you have to fire all your arrows at one target.

Another often underestimated use for Manyshot, and IMHO the most important one:

It allows you to tumble away from a superiors opponent full attack reach and still hit him very badly.

And readied Manyshots at enemy spellcasters rock.

A ranger5/Assassin7/Arcane Archer 8 would give you truestrike and once per day you could do a "hail of arrows", attacking 8 targets within range with your +4d6 sneak attack on each +4 arrow at full BAB (+18). The Seeker Arrow and Phase Arrow abilities could make for some pretty nasty assassination attempts too.

Just a shame you can't imbue the poison spell onto an arrow!

There is that pesky elf requirement for arcane archer though.
