How many books do you have? (Ikea bookcases for D&D!)

Was showing someone my D&D rule book collection
this isn't all of 'em

15 large totes in storage, 4 full bookcases, and 6 stacks on the floor that are each about 2-3 feeet in height. All of that still after three years of slowly trimming down the collection and focusing more on things I really like.

I haven't switched over for my own RPG collection, but I have used Metro and Intermetro shelving for books. They're not cheap, but they'll last forever, and they're easy to assemble and dissemble.

The Intermetro holds up to 400lbs per shelf, and the Metros twice that, so dipping shelves will be a thing of the past.

For some stuff, like large numbers of minigames, terrain, plastic minis and so forth, I'll also use Elfa carts or Sterlite stacking drawers.

I get that on my bookshelf too. When it gets noticeable enough, I just take all the books off, flip the shelf over, and then put the books back. Eventually it'll straighten out again and then start to bow the other way. Rinse and repeat. ;)

hey, all the folk buying 3rd ed stuff rejoice, I am your dealer! lol.

I'll take your Cityscape, Dungeonscape, and Spell Compendium!

I also have bowed shelves. (Un)fortunately, I recently had some flooding reach my office and hit my bookshelves. None of the books were damaged but I get to replace te shelves.

think I'll get wood boards cut to fit, insert them into bookcase as verticals in middle, to strengthen it :)

lol, sorry probably give to my cousin to ebay ;)
but anyone who can drive to Glasgow can get last half of my Dragon mag collection before I give it to charity shop :)

as a DM, I just hating parting with monster manuals, campaign settings etc. Sigh.

I use Ikea Billy bookcases, but only the 15" wide units, rather than the 30" units for my heavy book collections. between the lower weight per shelf and the shorter distance between the supports, I don't get the bowing in the shelves.
