How many campaigns are you in?

I play in 4 (2 2e D&D, alternating between the two at random, 1 3e, and 1 shadowrun) and gm 1 3e game.

I guess I play in 4 or more. With 3 being quite active and the rest not so active. Wed. night is a FR campaign, Sat. night was a different FR campaign but has recently been put on hold to play Sun & Scale, Sunday I play in Living City & Greyhawk (but for how much longer I'm not sure). I'm also involved in several not so active games: My homebrew (custom), an OA setting game, and one my wife runs sometimes.

Another player is getting ready to start up his campaign. We have something like 10 players that play on a somewhat rotating basis in the various campaigns and of those 10, 6 have their own campaigns to DM.

Not playing at all right now. I wouldn't mind getting in a game but all of the players I know are stuck on stupid 2e mode and or are very poor DM's IMO.

So I just keep up with DND here on the boards and you know what I know more about whats going on them my FL Game Store owner who is no slouch.

As far as on line play, *BAH* DND is my social outlet so I there is no point to playing online YMMV of course.

We have 3 active D20 Campaigns (2 x FR, 1 x Wheel of Time).
And we had 2 Starwars and an additonal D&D Campaign, but they are not played often, and probably never again...

And than we still have a campaign Space Gothic, several Shadowrun Characters (I do not think in "campaign" terms here), Midgard 1880 and Torg (unfortunately only very seldom)...

I voted 3, since I only counted active D20 Campaigns...

Smile when ya say that pardner, I met my wife through an online game. If that's not "socializing" I dunno what is.

Seriously, the folks I play with online have just as much of the social kibitzing, table-talk and other stuff that happens in a tabletop game (more, really, since the TT game I run is 3 people total and conseqently very focused). The only difference is that we're scattered across two countries instead of all around my dining room table. (Except for the New Years game this year, where all the active players got together.)

Alternating is the way to go!

Its the only way to get in your share of play, run a good game and have a remotely normal life in the process.

I play in five different campaigns, most alternates.

1st/2nd -- The Tuesday night game, alternates between 7th Sea (mine) and a 3e campaign. The other DM and I have been switching out this way for around 4 years now, I guess, with various games.

3rd/4th -- The Weekend games, alternates between Lejendary Adventure on Saturday (mine) and 3e Temple of Elemental Evil on Sunday. We switch every other weekend.

5th -- Monthly game, where another friend runs his homebrew 3e campaign. Pretty fun so far, but you get left behind quick if you miss sessions. These are all day gaming marathons, beginning at 9 am and running as late as 2 am. It TAKES a month to recover.

I'm not sure how it happened, but here I am married with three kids and I'm in four campaigns:

1 Rifts (player)
3 D&D (2 DM, 1 player)

I think I actually may be role-playing more than when I was single.

Wow. Maybe I should marry my girlfriend so I can play in more than one campaign...and more than once a month!!!

We have four GMs in my group of eight. I will be returning to my RttToEE campaign after over a eight month lay-off. I had to work out of town much of last year so the other GMs picked up the slack for me. One of the GMs has his major campaign, and a second thief campaign that he runs from time to time.

i Dm one campaign (rapidly reaching its end) and play in another that meets about once every 3 months

The good news is that one of my players has indicated he wants to try DMing for an adventure - and has even started writing it up!

Unfortunately he keeps telling me all the cool ideas he gets to see if i think they good!

I tell him that he's a better judge of quality writing (afterall he has the Masters in Philosophy) and that I want to play in this adventure - not help him write it

Yes i am selfish and greedy in that I want to play a regular game and hang up the DM hat for a month or three (but I've already got this cool idea about my next game, you see.....hmmmm maybe I see where my player gets it from )

2 campaigns.

I DM my hombrew campaign, StormWorld. Currently low levle.

The other campaign is run by the other DM in the group. Its currently set in a highly modified 3E Forgotten Realms. We' all around 13th level and have been playing this one for about 2 years.

Unfortuneatly I will be saying good by to this group come Jult when my wife and I relocate to Florida.
