How many CDs do you own?

About 400 or so. About 75% purchased directly from the performers, either at ren-faires or coffee shops.

Zero (and no, I don't have gigabytes of pirated music stashed away somewhere, either; I just don't really like any music enough to spend money on it, and even if I weren't pretty militiant in defending IP rights, I don't like anything enough to spend the time finding it to download, either). My pride and joys? Well, there are many, but I would have to say that I won't trade my bootleg Bowie, Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry live performances, and a disc of John Foxx "Metamatic" outtakes.

Maybe 50, all pretty new.

Used to have maybe 500. I ripped them all and gave them away. Then I deleted a bunch of the mp3s cuz who wants that many mp3s anyway. I still buy CDs, but I don't keep them. I rip 'em and give them away to whoever comes over and wants them.

Right around 100, which covers pretty much everything I've bought since high school (10+ years ago). Slanted towards rock and industrial, but there's a wide range of stuff in my binder.

I haven't counted in a while, and I trimed the collection down a bit last year, but I'd guess I've got about 150-200 CDs.

My pride of the collection?? hmm. Probably Ian Anderson's 12 Dances with God. I've also got some rare blues albums that I like a lot.

360 give or take a few double cds and not counting the two Superman radio shows boxed sets. The majority of my cds consists mostly of movie/tv soundtracks, Elvis Presley, Alice Cooper and The Who. However, I have triple that amount in cassettes.

About 200+ movie soundtracks, 25+ techno/funk, 100+ 1980s mixes, 200+ country albums, every Tears for Fears, Hall & Oates and Janet Jackson album. Lots of Sounds of Nature & the World albums. About 50 cds chock full of sounds of war and movie sound effects. Just under 1000 cds total.

What is the pride of your collection?

174 CDs, only a dozen being "illegal" copies. I don't have anything that I feel I should be especially proud of. Since the appearance of DVDs, I have ceased to buy any CD, except for the occasional movie soundtrack (LotR, The 13th Warrior, or Kama Sutra) that I bought after having bought the film's DVD.
