A big zero!

There is the Draconis RPG convention in Montreal this October. Last time I went was in 2014. Played Dungeon World. I really want to go this year. I would try Daggerheart if I can get a seat.

I might go to CanGames in Ottawa gaming convention in May. Last time I went was the late 90s. Played Car Wars on Sunday and finished first place.

Same as every year (this will be my 10th,): GameHole Con in Madison, WI.

It's just the right size. Big enough to attract "names" (Rothfuss, Mercer, Crawford, Perkins, Greenwood, Cook, Rasmussen, the good Gygax, etc), but not so big it's hard to get seats at events, the food truck lines aren't too long, and there's plenty of hotel space (although the closest to the event do sell out, there are plenty more within a 15 minute drive).

I have done a bit of a convention circuit in my professional life. At my height (pre-pandemic) I may have hit 10 in a year once. But this year I only did about 3. And 1 gaming convention.

In previous sections of my life I've done things like anime conventions, sci-fi conventions, and even a couple of Lego conventions with the kids. One of these years I'll get to a Gencon. I used to want to make it to a Worldcon, but the past couple of years have killed my drive for that in the near future.

We have a local Battletech only con called KSAGG. (Krull siblings annual gathering of gamers) Last year we hit 100 attendees. The next one is this December and we are already over 110 badges sold with a a few months yet to go! (I have made several promo videos for events see playlist )

Otherwise, I made it out to my first Adepticon back in March.

So, it seems im up to 2. I just started slowly getting back into cons I havent really hit any since the pandemic until last year. I;ve never been an "every year" goer until KSAGG since im pretty involved in the game running and its local.

Oh, I forgot im going to Vegas for a BT convention next week, so ill be up to 3.

Im actually really digging small hyper focused cons on BT. I feel like im more connected to everyone and there is room to breath. Though, Adepticon was a lot of fun and I dig down town Milwaukee. I've been to Gencon a few times but thats more of a once every ten years kind of thing. Too busy for me and I dont like the hustle. Though, I do think every gamer (who likes the idea of a con) should experience it at least once.

Friends trying to rope me into Gamehole Con in Wisconsin. I might go next year. Also, Con of the North as mentioned by @MatthewJHanson is local and ive gone in the past but not in recent years. (BT folks trying to get me to go again...)
