1. Went to Gencon this year for the first time.
I figured the graph would be U-shaped...I figured there would be lots of people who don't go to conventions, and lots of vendors who go to several conventions, but not very many people in between.
It seems I was mistaken.
It does make sense with the knowledge that most gamers don't go to conventions. Might be a more diverse result with a differentiation between "0 (this past 1e months)" and "I've never been to a gaming convention"...I figured the graph would be U-shaped...I figured there would be lots of people who don't go to conventions, and lots of vendors who go to several conventions, but not very many people in between.

Well, to be fair, I am asking about all conventions, not just gaming cons.It does make sense with the knowledge that most gamers don't go to conventions. Might be a more diverse result with a differentiation between "0 (this past 1e months)" and "I've never been to a gaming convention"...
Almost the opposite: based on what I have heard about the demographics of tabletop gamers, these results still skew towards overrepresentijg conventions attendance. The people who do it for a living may spend less of their free time on message boards talking about it. The ones I do professionally have absolutely nothing to do with gaming.
