Nowadays I usually read them cover-to-cover. :)

Thank goodness for that! ;)

I used to read them cover to cover, but lately I've found that I only read one or two articles, unless I'm really bored. Mostly, this is due to lack of interest in the articles, but partially also because of the glut of gaming books I still haven't read as much as I would like.

For example, I just got the latest issue in the mail. Being a fan of the diabolus of old, I skipped right to the Winning Races and read it in its entirety. I also read the Novel Approach. I skimmed the rest, pausing briefly on feats and magic items, then read Sage Advice and comics and put it on the shelf.

The last issue I read cover to cover was the Campaign Classics issue around this time last year.

I have a feeling that this will change in the near future though. Somehow, I suspect the magazine is going to shift back into a "must read". :)

The only parts of the magazine that I do NOT read regularly, are Under Command and Sage Advice. I do not enjoy Class Acts, but I do read them for the few gems they contain.

I read all the articles, eventually, but generally get through the majority the month in which the magazine is baught.

Not only do I usually read Dragon cover to cover, but I am finding Dungeon a lot more interesting lately. Maybe because they moved the DMing stuff there. Personally, I'd like to see a lot more idea-provoking articles than lists of ideas in the DM stuff...but the lists of ideas so far have included some very good ones.

First part of the big Greyhawk poster map was impressive. Even though I'm not using Greyhawk.

I've just cancelled by subscription after putting it off for at least a year. It was hard to do as I've been getting Dragon since issue #80 but enough is enough - I was skimming through then putting on the shelf. Apart from a half-dozen or so articles since 3ed started (not incuding new monsters) there has been nothing that's interested me. I Like the crunchy stuff and there are plenty of other companies that can give me the rules etc. that Dragon used to do for 1st-2nd ed.

I've just started a subscription with Dungeon again, there just seems to be more useful pages/issue.

There's one article in January's issue that I'm definately looking forward to reading -- something about Battleboxes...

I keep seeing a lot on these. Of course, my local gaming stores have been unable to get them from distributors (for at least a month). It's been quite frustrating.

As for Dragon, I read it from cover to cover, except for the fiction (which I'll read sometimes and skip others).

I seldom buy Dragon any more - quick check: last issue I have is #301. It doesn't seem to have articles of interest to me, not that I could tell with the new style of headlines.
