D&D (2024) How many magical rings can a single character wear and use?

I would not put any limit on rings other than what naturally comes from limited attunement slots. Humans have 8 fingers, I'd assume most species are similar - if the DM is giving out more than 8 magical rings per person, there's a bigger problem

Let's just say magic rings have ended up in some very weird places in my games and we'll leave it at that.

Anyway, I was going to say that the reason that 5e says similar digits in the rules is because they didn't want to return to the 1e days of gendered advantages.

You should select based on what you prefer to be, not just to wear an eleventh ring.

I was actually thinking of the plasmoid bard in one of our games, who kept rings and other items in all sorts of squelchy places.

But he did also turn his body into various instruments, so I think wind chimes would be quite feasible.

So if you have a really lenient DM, you could use all 8 fingers and 2 thumbs to wear all 10 types of Rings of Resistance.

Nothing limits you to just one ring per digit.

Ya, limit it to one ring of resistance.

As a DM, I'd also have very rare RoRs that resists 2 damage types, and Legendary three damage types.

Having 10 RoR is boring and silly.
