Well using your list I have 13 Monster Books.
I like 'em.
Having a large list to choose from always keeps people on their toes. ;)

Over 20. Far more than I need or use with any regularity.

This will not in any way deter me from buying more.

However, I am a bit more selective in my monster book purchases than I was back in the early days of d20.

I'm a big fan of the ol' monster books, can't seem to have enough. I needdsss them... So here is a poll.

[edited in]

Here is my official tally: 27 Monster Books

Penumbra Fantasy Bestiary, Minions: Fearsome Foes, Liber Bestarius, Legends & Lairs: Monster’s Handbook, Legends & Lairs: Draconic Lore, Legends & Lairs: Necromantic Lore, Legends & Lairs: Twisted Lore, Legends & Lairs: Giant Lore, Monsters of the Endless Dark, Monsters of the Boundless Blue, Legions of Hell, Armies of the Abyss, Monsters of the Mind, Dangerous Denizens: The Monsters of Tellene, Nightmares & Dreams, Nightmares & Dreams II, Tome of Horrors, Tome of Horrors II, Monsternomicon, Creature Collection, Creature Collection II, Creature Collection III, Ravenloft: Denizens of Darkness, Monster Manual, Monster Manual II, Fiend Folio, Monsters of Faerun

I have all of these and a few more, such as Ravenloft Denizens of Dread, Creatures of Rokugan, Deadliest Creatures Tome, Horrors o' the Weird West, and the Bestiary of Loerem. Due to arrive soon is the Bestiary of Krynn...

I can't get enough critters...it's a sickness. :)

Just one, MM3.5. Don't seem to need anything else. Lots of monsters online, and since I primaily use published adventures, any additional monsters and outlined in them.

(Not counting MM 1.0, Monster Compendium 2.0 + Outsiders + Greyhawk)

Besides, I like character books :)

"There's always room for critters."

I prefer using the occassional "nasty critter" as a one-shot deal; a lot of fantasy fiction has featured the "lone survivor" or "last pack" of creatures that dwell in isolated or remote locations, and I emulate that a bit. As such, PCs tend to encounter many creatures that have not been seen in ages and now, thanks to the PCs, will likely never be seen again.

As such, I never pass up a monster book if I think even half of the creatures are worth using at least once. Heck, I bought most of Fantasy Flight's and AEG's little "pamphlet modules" just for the critters in them (and some actually turned out to be half-decent adventures to boot!).

too numerous to count.

i have Men & Monsters, Monster & treasure assortment 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, Monster & treasure assortment 1-9, Monster Manual, Monstrous Manual, Monster Compendiums ad naseum, Monster Manual, Monster Manual, Monster Manual...

plus Monster Manual II, Monster Manual II
Fiend Folio, Fiend Folio
etc...

there are just tons for each edition and from third party publishers for each edition

I am a monster junkie:

3e/D20 monster books- 3e MM, MM2, Fiend Folio, Monsters o Rokugan, Creature Collection , Creature Collection 2, Tome of Horrors, Tome of Horrors 2, Soveregin Stone Monster book (actual title looses me), Monsternomicon, Dangerous Denziens ,Monsters of Norath, Monsters of the ID, Fiends book from Green Ronin.

pre 3e/d20- Most of the monster appendixes, pretty much all the Monsterous Compendiums. MM,MM2, FF, Creature Collection(or was it catalog?), All the Worlds Monsters, Field guide to Encounters, Monstr manuscript and more.

Considereing other games monster books and internet monster books I've got to have well over 50 books. Throw in non game books on monsters and that number has got to hit 100 or so.

As far as d20 is concerned, I've got the MM, Creature collection I and II and the Bane Ledger. I have access to several more however.

I've also got tons of monster books from earlier editions including the many compendiums from 2e, the mystara monsters from 2e (which I've always liked a lot), and many from 1e as well.
