How Many New Systems have you bought?

Just Warhammer FRP 2e and The Burning Wheel. Both great systems, although I think playing the latter's a bit of a pipe dream.

I brought Warhammer FRP 2nd edition last year and I am happily running a game. It was my best rpg purchase in years.

It's always a nice surprise when a game system takes you and your group by storm. :)

I have many fond memories of the old Warhammer. The new one refined quite a few things from the old one but for me being a... 'grongard', seems designed too much to suck the money from the wallets.

Well let's see, here's a rundown of what I've bought in recent memory.

Savage Worlds - All of the buzz made me curious; while it is interesting, I find that d20 suits my purposes just fine.

d6 Adventure - Like SW above, it's a good streamlined system but I'm still using d20 games.

Blue Planet - I bought all of these on sale and not for the system, just to read the background material.

True20 - Does this count? Anyway, it's a good streamlined version of the d20 engine; the only thing I find cumbersome is the damage track.

Spycraft 2.0 - While I've owned this for some time now I've really only begun to soak it up. I don't like some of the more crunchy bits (like fluid initiative), but I'm really digging the half/half action combat system and the NPC design.

A few more I forgot:

Iron Heroes (hey if True20 can be listed, so can this)

HARP: A nice system, and also I felt they were getting screwed over by a distributor. Plus they have a "tough" race without the nasty "rape" connotations that sometimes hang around the half-orc.

Lejendary Adventure and Dark Continent. Didn't buy it, but also checked out FATE.

(I've purchased quite a few OGL games, though: Arcana Unearthed, Iron Heroes, True20, Mutants & Masterminds, and last -- but not least -- Castles & Crusades.)

Over the past YEAR?

Legends of the Five Rings 3rd edition is the only one that comes to mind. Of course, I'm quite happy with Savage Worlds at this time. And with Lejendary Adventure or Castles and Crusades to fall back on, I'm not sure I'm in the market for a new FRPG anytime soon. Granted if something as cool as, say, SAGA were to appear on the market, I might change my tune. But for right now, I'm happy to simply pick up sourcebooks and other things that I can convert as the mood strikes me.

I should also point out that in the past year I haven't purchased any d20 material aside from an odd module here or there.

I'm really not sure which systems I bought during the past year and which ones earlier. Definitely this year, I bought Savage Worlds (with 50 Fathoms and Low Life :)), Artesia (modified Fuzion) and d6 Space.

Besides the D&D line back to AD&D, I have FRPGs based in Runequest, GURPS, HERO, Talisantha, Palladium, and probably a few others.

I'm not averse to learning new systems.

Unfortunately, most of the gamers in my group ARE system-phobes, so all I play is D&D.

Over the last year or over my life time (cause there is to much to list over that :D) but over the last year - Lots of D20 and OGL, but I have also grabbed...

Warhammer RPG 2nd ed (and most of the stuff for it... really love the setting and the rules)
Secrets of Zir'An (did not really like the rules, but the setting is cool)
Army of Darkness (Cinematic Unisystem, but then I also have Buffy and Angel AND a number of AFMBE so I like this system)
Rippers (and Savage Worlds revised... its ok. I have some big problems with the system but it is playable)

Ones that I am looking forward to (and will pick up)...

Dark Herasy (Warhammer 40K)
Hollow Earth Expeditions (puly game with a new system that I would like to at least look at)
Solomon Kane (for Savage World, see above)
Rocketmen (for Savage World, based on the WizKids collectable game)
Aargh! Thar Be Zombies! (for AFMBE, pirate zombie action!)
All Tomorrow's Zombies (for AFMBE, zombies in SPACE!!!)

Ones that sound good but I want a bit more info before I purchase...

RuneQuest (loved the game as a kid, but I am not to sure it will still interest me)
Prometheans (for the New World of Darkness. I have not picked up the base rules yet but this game might just interest me enough to give the nWoD a shot)
Normal Texas
the Ravage Earth Society
Cold City
Unhallowed Ground
Strange Things
Sundered Skies (for Savage Worlds)
GURPS Girl Genius!

If they comes out (but not holding my breath)...

Pulp Cthulhu
BESM 3rd ed
Beyond Human (for Unisystem)

Not fantasy-based but over the last year I have bought stuff for Paranoia, Feng Shui and Toon! I also have AE but I bought that over 12 months ago and I consider it to be just a d20 variant (if that).

For the amount of time I have to run or play RPG's, one fantasy system is enough for me. I must admit that the new Warhammer FRPG did take my interest for a while though.
