How many Powers in the PHB?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that there were around 200 in the book. If that's right (which I am unsure) Then i suppose it might break down somewhat evenly.

Of course they did say that they didn't get all of the Divine or Arcane stuff in the book, so that might mean that the content leans more heavily towards Martial powers.

I don't think I really answered your question in any way other than to say I don't know myself.

200 powers for 8 classes = 25 powers/class (that would equal to around 1 power/level/class, since there are 30 levels*)

I would estimate somewhere around 800-1200 powers.

*not all level get powers, some are feats-only level.

I'm not sure about that. For example, we know that wizard is not getting new powers at 11 and 12 lvl, but these are 2 first levels of paragon path, so I expect them to be quite power-heavy for paragon class.

I would expect there will be some new power to choose for the character on every level - just not always from the base class.

EDIT: I disagree. It's still a mystery. But in the recent podcast it was told that not all level will get powers, I said in my answer it would be for feats, it could be for something else. But I also recalled the designers said that every class now get something at every level.

Exemple: if you look at the pictures of the 2-page spread at DDXP for spells there were level without any attack or utility spells/powers for the wizard.

Yes, this is what I meant by saying 11-12 lvl having paragon path abilities instead of base class abilities. You will still get a choice of ability on every level.

Of course, we don't know paragon path details yet and somebody can argue that paragon path will not get any abilities for first two levels... but I think it fits quite well (paragon getting abilities at 11,12,14,?? base class getting it at 10,13,15,16,??).

Right. That's why I would like to have a PHB in my hands, right now!

In the Experience interview, Heinsoo said that you get to pick a new power at every level from the 4, 5 or 6 options available. I'm uncertain if he was using the term 'power' in the technical sense or not.

Its over 500. I remember seeing that somewhere.

Edit: Actually i think that I've mistaken the monster count in the MM for the power count... :\
