How many sessions do you play?

I went from one sporadic campaign to running two regular campaigns a week almost overnight. Really enjoying it right now, but I'm sure it won't last. Real life has a way of showing up and taking over.

I currently participate in 14 games (the bonus of gaming with a group comprised of DMs, 5 of us in total). A couple of them are very sporadic (once every 2 or 3 months). One of them is extremely sporadic (once every 5 or 8 months). Three of them are at least once a month, but usually twice. The rest are spread out pretty evenly. On average, I participate in 6 to 9 sessions a month. However, I run a few solo games (3 out of the 14, a couple haven't been run in a year), and those can be done in short 2 or 3 hour bursts, so sometimes I run those 3 to 7 times in a month. Given all that, out of the 14 games I participate in, I run 7 of those. Some are really sporadic, some are not.

In short...I game a lot. :D

If life was perfect I'd play 5 times a week, but real life must take its toll. Until September played 2 games a week, but those fizzled out (again due to real life issues).
Just started up a game (only 2 players) so I'm currently at 1 game a week and pinning for more (games and players).

Once a week, Sunday Brunch from 10:30am to 6:00pm. It is rare that everybody makes, maybe once a month so we game with who shows up, out of 7 people we are lucky to get 5 together at any one time.

My Shadowrun group just recently grew from 1 GM and 2 players to 1 GM and 3 players. More recently one D&D group shrunk by 1 co-DM/player down to 2 players, 1 DM and 1 player currently occupied in the army for the next few months. After a time where some players apparently wanted to decide whether or not to attend a session 5 minutes before it started I decided to forget about them and stick to the players that attended regularly. It makes scheduling much easier, and playing in such small groups also makes for more "spotlight" time for the individual players.

If your 7 players group is making it hard to schedule game sessions, then I heartily recommend shrinking the size of the group down until the only one left are those that will attend regularily.

We play once every 2 weeks, for 8 hours, *without exception* (well, only one - if Christmas falls on our normal gaming day). That's the only time we ever pause.

Once a fornight, maybe twice a fortnight if no-one has things planned. And things are very haphazard - organising players can be difficult when some of them are doing shiftwork.
