How much blood in a hp?

I was just trying to point out that D&D is not a game of biologic simulation because if it were it would be not fun. Characters would bleed to death after a single blow landed.

As others have said, HP are an abstraction.

I don't think there is a blood volume to hit point fomula.

I do believe, however, that blood loss results in constitution penalties, if substantial enough. So the amount of blood loss required would be dependent upon your constitution score and size more than anything else.

There are multiple precedents, but none are absolute.
