How much for that slave?

Thank you

Very cool :D

Thank you very much.

Now consider this- our groups cleric (Tritheron) is going to buy them. Ya, the god of liberation. She is going to ask the slaves to work on rebuilding a city that was heavily damaged by the Scarlet Lord. I don't know what she will do if they refuse, more then likely shrug them off, but its what she can do to help free people.

(Forgot to mention- she is freeing them, though I think she will question them first and find out what crime they have commited and all that. In any case I don't see that she will keep slaves or resell them.)

She is using Detect Good to find worth candidates- people she knows are good would be less likely to be guilty of any crimes or feel badly for having committed them. I think she should use Detect Evil to find those that are Neutral, but not sure that would work (actually pretty sure it won’t work).

Would like the idea to work out because the Cleric’s Player has had some trouble getting involved in the campaign and if it worked it would help her get involved.

In any case, thank you for your help and suggestions and such.

3.0 OGL source (Plots and Poison) has a decent list for slave prices. There is a different culture though (it's based on the drow), so prices may differ. Said slave may be bought so they could be killed later...

Humans were 50 gp, by the way.

If she uses Detect Good first, finds out exactly who is giving off the "good vibes" and then uses Detect Evil on the set of people she used Detect Good on, and finds out exactly who is giving off the "evil vibes", then (according to the interpretation that detect good and detect evil are able to detect alignment and not merely monster subtype) you should have a default way of detecting those who are not good and not evil (and hence neutral). Those that neither give off good vibes nor give off evil vibes are either neutral or have magical means to hide their alignment (or both).
